Fazal (Fuzz) Bhimji

Instuctor Mediator Arbitrator

Mr Bhimji has been involved with conflict resolution since 1991. He is an active mediator/arbitrator, a Provincial Court Mediator and a member of several mediation rosters including the BC Mediator Roster Society (Civil) and the Public Service Labour Relations Board (Fed.). He has handled hundreds of disputes as an mediator/arbitrator for various businesses, as well as other arbitrations for the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. He is a conflict resolution coach at the JIBC Centre for Conflict Resolution and an instructor at the Centre for Leadership. He has prepared and delivered training programs for the Canadian Air Traffic Control Association and other clients in the Lower Mainland.

Kerry Palmer

Instructor Mediator Arbitrator

Kerry Palmer has worked in the area of Dispute Resolution for the past 16 years. He has attained certificates from the Justice Institute of British Columbia in Conflict Resolution, Restorative Practices and Family Mediation. He has worked with the Dispute Resolution office of BC for the past 7 years as a Child Protection Mediator. In this role he supports both the families and the Ministry of Children and Family ministry. Kerry is also a certified trainer with the International Institute of Restorative Practices in Family Group Conferencing. Kerry is a member of the Mediate BC roster in Child Protection and a mediator with the Ministry of Education. As well Kerry has a diploma from Vancouver Community College in Adult Instruction. Much of Kerry’s work outside of the Justice Institute of BC is supporting organizations both within and outside the province of BC. This work is in the form of delivering Conflict Resolution training, mediation, and facilitation services. Along with this Kerry has worked extensively with First Nations communities and organizations.

Louise Pohl

Instuctor Mediator Arbitrator (Retired)

Louise Pohl is one of the founding members of LearningWorks. Louise has her BA from the University of British Columbia and completed the Professional Development Programme at Simon Fraser University. She came to the company with a background in education, course design and small business. She has over twenty years experience with facilitation and workshop design and delivery. Louise also conducts formal harassment investigations and mediations. Her content expertise ranges from human rights issues to facilitation skills to stress management. Louise is particularly fascinated by workplace dynamics and how to make those dynamics visible so that the workplace can become a place where everyone is valued, encouraged and respected. She is the author of a manual on how to write a harassment policy entitled “Harassment: The Silent Killer of Workplace Harmony.”

Jane Roberts

Mediator Negotiator Teaching (Retired)

Jane Roberts is a Professional Coach, Mediator and Trainer. Jane's early training was in education as a graduate of Goldsmiths’ College, University of London and she has studied Adult Education at the University College of the Fraser Valley. She is a certified Personal and Business Coach with the Coaches Training Institute and a member of the International Coaching Federation. For the last ten years she has worked in the private, public and non-profit sectors as a consultant and trainer in Communication Skills, Coaching Leaders, Managers and Employees, Harassment Prevention, Bullying in the Workplace and Human Rights. Jane has worked as a facilitator in organizational development for both government and non-profit agencies. She has designed workshops in coaching, conflict resolution, and communication. She has a certificate in mediation and negotiation from the Justice Institute of British Columbia where she is also on faculty as a coach. Jane is committed to guiding and supporting her clients, in the workplace and as individuals, to implement new learning and to create positive change in themselves and their organizations.
